Jinx’s Emergency Surgery

Jinx had a partial bladder obstruction and had emergency surgery to remove a stone from his bladder! Save SomeBunny sanctuary rabbit Jinx has had bladder issues for a few years now and is on medications to help him urinate on his own. He periodically gets sludge and is prone to bladder infections so we try to have frequent checkups. We knew he had a small object in his bladder because we could see it on x-ray but it appeared to be attached to the bladder wall. He was having a really good spell and foster mom was hesitant to send him into surgery so we decided to keep an eye on it. Well, he came in from some garden playtime and suddenly was straining to pee. Suspecting that object had come loose, we got him into the vet and, sure enough, it was sitting at the opening of the ureter. Our vet did surgery that day. He's still very tender but recovering well.
