Meet Our Sanctuary Bunnies

Maisy and Fallyn

Choppa

Fallyn is a very handsome boy who was born in 2018. He had a poorly healed dislocation of his right hind leg and it was amputated two years ago. While in foster care, he fell in love with Maisy.

Maisy is a super sweet girl who loves Fallyn. She was born in 2015. The vets think she had severe bilateral ear infections that left her with permanent vestibular damage. She is a little wobbly but gets along just fine.

Neo

Choppa came to us as a baby in July 2021 with a severely broken back leg. He went through intense rehabilitation with a large cast on his leg, many vet appointments, exercising the back leg slowly once it healed and given lots of love and attention by foster mom and dad.

Choppa is a sanctuary bunny because he was diagnosed with a heart condition (most likely born with it). He is under the supervision of a rabbit savvy vet to keep an eye on his condition.

Neo is a very bouncy and outgoing bun who just loves a good bunny massage. He was rescued with headtilt. The dizziness and nystagmus have subsided but he’s still very tilty. He needs to be picked up gently and held close so he doesn’t get too worked up but he does enjoy a nice petting session on the sofa. He’s very fond of getting kisses from his foster mom! Neo has been in foster care since July 2021.

Snyder

This little old man was rescued from a local shelter in bad shape. Mites, fleas, severely underweight and some eye issues. He was treated with some medication and is being provided a safe environment and plenty of food. To bring his weight up, foster mom is adding some oat rolled balls" made of critical care or Sherwood SARx rabbit recovery food, Sherwood appetite restore and bits of fresh fruit. He's such a sweetheart. He was born in 2013.

Mr. Moo and Scrabble

In 2017 Mr. Moo was adopted to be a therapy rabbit for a young girl. Unfortunately the girl developed severe allergies to him and was forced to rehome him. A year later while in foster care with us, he showed signs of a digestive issue called megacolon. Sadly there really is no cure. With a special diet, daily digestive support tablets, a calm environment along with occasional pain meds we are able to keep him comfortable. Mr. Moo will need to have a watchful eye kept on him because he is prone to GI slowdown. On a happy note: Mr. Moo met the bunny girl of his dreams named Scrabble. Mr. Moo and Scrabble are happy sanctuary bunnies! Moo has been in foster care since May 17, 2018 and Scrabble was born into foster care on April 30, 2019.
