Lettuce got a 2nd chance!

The county shelter has Lettuce scheduled to be euthanized next week because she is "bitey". We could not let this happen, so we pulled her from the shelter. She will be in foster care for a couple of weeks and already has found a forever home that will work on socializing her.

Many times animals in shelters have "behavior problems" and once they are in a calmer environment they learn to trust. In addition unspayed and unneutered animals may act out due to hormones. Also, we don't know their backstory. It could have been a cruel environment, a lonely existence, a neglectful experience, etc.

Patience, love and a kind environment is needed to help the bunny trust. We and Lettuce's new family can give her that. Give her a second chance. She deserves it!

We are not sure if her name will remain the same but in the mean time we will call her Lettuce.
