Meet our Sanctuary Bunnies
Even if the path is not an easy one, we are committed to their care.
They deserve happiness and security despite their physical limitations.
Make it stand out.

Cleo
Cleo is a gentle but determined little bun. She has an odd gait but very much likes to run and hop on things. She enjoys being pet and has a grand time adventuring and running in the garden or in the living room. She loves to lounge on her little bed in the sunshine. We lovingly call her the Poo Poo Princess because she drops her poops pretty much everywhere in her pen. She may not be aware that she’s pooping. She was rescued with an EC granuloma in one eye that was quite aggravated so we had it removed. Sometimes she gets a little wobbly when she stands up too tall on her hind legs but she doesn’t have any other issues and isn’t on any medication. She has been in foster care since Nov 2020.

Choppa
Choppa came to us as a baby with a severely broken back leg. He went through intense rehabilitation with a large cast on his leg, many vet appointments, exercising the back leg slowly once it healed and given lots of love and attention by foster mom.
Choppa is a sanctuary bunny because he was diagnosed with a heart condition (most likely born with it). He is under the supervision of a rabbit savvy vet to keep an eye on his condition.
-
Davey, Noa and Jillibean
Davy the lop is part of a trio. He is mostly blind and deaf — loves to sleep in your lap. Davey came from the OC hoarder.
Jillibean has a headtilt that causes her no problems at all. Jillibean and Noa were strays from the OC shelter.
-
Fallyn and Maisy
Fallyn had a poorly healed dislocation of his right hind leg and it was amputated years ago. He is bonded to Maisy.
Maisy is six. Vets think she had severe bilateral ear infections that left her with permanent vestibular damage. She is a little wobbly but gets along just fine.
-
Ginny and Oscar
Ginny was pulled from the shelter in Jan 2017 with tear duct issues, not uncommon for lops. She gets daily monitoring and eye drops. She and Oscar fell in love in foster care Oscar's grooming has done wonders for Ginny's eye problems. They have a permanent sanctuary home with their foster parents.

Journey
Journey was rescued by @lillys_legacy_foundation at the end of 2018. She is a fighter from the day she was born. When was about 4 months old, she had emergency spay surgery because she had a terrible infection that would have taken her life. Nothing stops this girl from living an adventurous life. This girl never takes the easy road. She is happy, curious about life and a little mischievous. She is such a sweetheart who loves to cuddle and do binkies. She also found her forever love name Oreo while in foster care.
-
Ivory and Jinx
This pretty little girl is Ivory. She was recued from the shelter on July 15, 2021. She is an absolute love. She can't get enough of being pet, held, whatever kind of attention you want to give. She needs eye drops for glaucoma and we are also working on an eye ulcer but hopefully it will being healed. Ivory is trying so hard to get Jinx's affection.
Jinx and his 7 siblings came into the shelter as three week old orphans. He was adopted twice and came back twice. The second time he had developed bladder problems as a result of overfeeding pellets. After months of treatment and care, he can pee on his own again as long as he gets meds twice a day. His foster mom promised to never send him to another home again and is working on bonding him to sanctuary bunny, Ivory.
-
Molly
Molly is a sweet girl who is now bonded to Truman and 3 other rabbits.
-
Mr. Moo and Scrabble
Mr. Moo and Scrabble are happy sanctuary bunnies who met in foster care. They will only be available to bunny savvy people since Mr. Moo has a digestive issue called megacolon.
-
Neo
Neo is a very bouncy and outgoing bun who just loves a good bunny massage. He was rescued with headtilt. The dizziness and nystagmus have subsided but he’s still very tilty. He needs to be picked up gently and held close so he doesn’t get too worked up but he does enjoy a nice petting session on the sofa. He’s very fond of getting kisses from his foster mom! Neo has been in foster care since July 2021.
-
Niles
Niles who use to be known as Niblet, is a handsome boy. He is one of the lucky ones to have found his forever foster home. He now lives in a quiet and serene environment with his foster Mom who helps to keep him calm and relaxed.
-
Nic and Nora
Nick is a very handsome Rex. His feet have been prone to sore hocks over the years, and his chin prone to fur loss. While we have tried Silvadene cream and a few other things to resolve them, he hates being handled and has done completely fine without intervention. His hocks are not that unusual for his breed and age. His care is pretty standard to that of a normal older rabbit.
Nora is a special needs bun. She has a spinal abnormality. Her technical diagnosis is “Several narrowed disk spaces with mild spondylosis from L2-3 to LS area.” While her spine doesn’t significantly affect her mobility, she does have some additional care needs. She takes Metacam in the morning and evening to help manage her pain. She loves her medicine and takes it like a treat. She also has a low-entry litter box. Nora sometimes struggles with stretching to clean her ears, so every six weeks or so, she needs her ears cleaned. She is also on joint supplements. She is currently being treated from a superficial corneal ulcer. She will need a recheck vet appointment soon to confirm that her eye has healed, and may need to start steroid drops to reduce scarring.
-
Panda
Panda is a super sweet boy. He has a condition called Cherry Eyes. He seems to be elderly and has a heart issue as well as the eye issue. He is now living his happily ever after with his forever foster

Snyder
This little old man was rescued from a local shelter in bad shape. Mites, fleas, severely underweight and some eye issues. He was treated with some medication and is being provided a safe environment and plenty of food. To bring his weight up, foster mom is adding some "oat rolled balls" made of critical care or Sherwood SARx rabbit recovery food, Sherwood appetite restore and bits of fresh fruit. He's such a sweetheart.

Tempe and Quill
Tempe has, hands down, the best moves in the house. Her playtime moves are a thing to behold. She's a calm, quiet rabbit when she's not showing off her mad binky skills. Tempe was one of 8 rabbits dumped in a neighborhood park. She had a eye injury. About a week into treating the eye, we realized she was also pregnant. Another week later, we had 6 little babies. Her eye healed up but she does not have vision in that eye and gets eye drops once a day to prevent glaucoma. Quill was the littlest baby in the litter. She has always been particularly close with momma bun. She'll boop you, pretend she doesn't want to be pet and run away, then come back and jump in your lap. Quill started to have an odd look to one eye at two months old. We've kept a close watch on it and treated it under supervision of our vet but she still lost vision in that eye due to glaucoma. We treat it with the same drops as Tempe - once a day. They're pretty inexpensive drops and the girls are good about letting you give them since they know they get treats afterwards. Tempe and Quill need a fairly calm, quiet household. Tempe seems to have a sleep disorder and will run in her sleep when she's stressed. It took monitoring her with a Nest Camera to even realize what was happening. Her foster mom relocated her to an area that is more private from neighbor bunnies and it reduced the sleep issues.
