• Fostering is the backbone of rescue work, and at the heart of it, fostering is love. Many rescued animals have experienced little kindness from people. Some have suffered from neglect and deprivation. Others have endured unspeakable cruelty at the hands of those who were supposed to protect and care for them. Fostering is loving someone so greatly that you bring them into your home, family, and heart knowing one day you will have to say goodbye as they go home forever. It’s not always easy to gain the trust of a scared or angry animal, or to help them heal from physical or emotional traumas, but it’s always worth it. Moments ago, Evan and I walked back to our car, with an empty carrier, but with our hearts full of love and hope. Welcome to your new home. Welcome to your new life.
We love you, Sneek Sneeks. We will always be yours.
